Constitutional Club Minute Book

Monday 22nd September 1924

The Committee met on Monday September 22nd at 8 pm. All members were present except Mr W Simpson and Mr G Shepherd. Mr H Simpson announced that he would shortly be leaving for Australia and would therefore like to resign from the Committee, his Father also wished to resign. Both resignations were accepted with regret.

D Ward proposed that Mr Crisp be asked to fill one of the vacancies on the Committee, it was also decided to ask Mr J Savage to serve.

It was decided that fires should be lit on Monday Sep. 29th and from that date the Club would close at 9.30 pm and 10 pm on Saturdays. Mr Bramley proposed that the charge for playing billiards be increased from 1d to 1½ d a game. It was decided to try this proposal but if it did not pay the charge to be put back to 1d again.
